This I Believe

I believe that people should take time everyday to slow down. Our lives are full of busy schedules and fast faced days and most people never take any time to stop and filter our their minds from all that hustle and bustle. It is so important to give your body a rest and your mind time to think. These breaks can't just be your lunch break, or your commute to and from work. They must be an important ritual of your day. They do not have to be long, only 20 min or so. Just take a break to focus on your breathing, clear your mind, and forget about all the stress that may be building up. If you listen to nature sounds or soothing music every time, your body will begin to automatically relax when those sounds begin.

By incorporating this kind of relaxation into your everyday routine, you are reducing the tension and stress that accompany you everywhere you go. You are helping to minimize the build-up of things that eventually fall apart in a breakdown. You are allowing yourself to become more in touch with your body. And, you are a leading a healthier life style for your mind and body…this, I believe.
